Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Cea mai adanca frica noastra nu este aceea ca suntem nepotriviti. Cea mai adanca frica noastra este aceea ca suntem puternici peste masura. Este lumina si nu intunericul ceea ce ne inspaimanta. Ne intrebam: Cine sunt eu sa fiu stralucitor, minunat, talentat, fabulos? De fapt, cine sunt eu sa nu fiu? Tu esti copilul lui Dumnezeu. Nu ajuta pe nimeni, daca te subapreciezi. Nu are sens sa fii mai prejos decat esti astfel incat alti oameni sa nu se simta nesiguri in preajma ta. Cu toti trebuia sa stralucim, precum copii. Am fost nascuti ca sa manifestam gloria lui Dumnezeu, din inauntrul nostru. Nu este doar in unii dintre noi, este in toata lumea. Si daca ne lasam propria lumina sa straluceasca, fara sa ne dam seama, le dam si altora permisiunea sa faca la fel. Cum suntem eliberati de propria frica, prezenta noastra automat elibereaza si pe altii.
